Well, I decided to do a blog after all because of the many requests. People want to know how someone with 70 ocean cruises likes river cruising. Yep, this is our very first river cruise. I'm not sure how much time I am going to have for writing during the cruise but will certainly keep notes and write later if need be. I understand that internet service at times is very marginal so that may factor in also. After enduring Dallas summer temperatures in the mid 100's, we are ready for cooler climes. High for Amsterdam will be low 70's.
I can't believe it but we are packed and don't leave until tomorrow afternoon. I managed to keep checked bag count down to 3 which is a miracle when traveling with Rebecca. She is only packing 8 pairs of shoes this trip. Last cruise was 19 pair! Don't ask. We were actually mostly packed yesterday so today was leisurely one.
So tomorrow is "D" day. Departure day! Let the fun begin.
